Will CrossFit help me in my sport?

Yes.

The public considers endurance athletes to be fit. They have extremely well developed endurance and stamina, but lack dramatically in most of the 10 standards of fitness. Football players generally have good agility and speed, but they also lack in most of the standards aswell. By the CrossFit definition most athletes where their sport is one dimentional can not be considered fit.

By training in the CrossFit method, you are developing your weeknesses at the same time as your strengths.

People of all sports will benefit with this 'balance' through CrossFit training.

For professional and elite athletes CrossFit should be worked in conjunction to your specific training/conditioning/technique sessions with great effect.
